Abstract:

The technical lecture and presentation will cover the basic criteria for anchoring concrete.
Overview of various chemical and mechanical anchoring systems and mechanisms of
Steel Rebar fixing to concrete will be presented. A computer program to assist designer in
fixing anchor systems to the concrete will be introduced. The design process of
mechanical and chemical anchor systems will be presented. A demonstration on pull out
test of anchors will be conducted.
